careers. Here we salute the famous, the half-forgotten and
the disappeared. We look at how they used the system and culture of the times, and at how that system and culture
responded. If you love and admire glamorous women and
colourful movies, this site is for you.
We have five general essays with pictures plus pictorial
accounts of individual actresses. This is not a pornographic
site so if you crave nudity, look elsewhere. As far as
possible, we have used photographs which either are not
available elsewhere on the Internet, or are on the Internet in poor
condition, with gross distortion.
This website is our way of assuring the actresses featured here that they are still remembered with affection and gratitude.
